Exercise and learning go hand in hand. At Eunice Thomas Elementary, both preschool and Kinder Academy students have the opportunity to take a "brain break" in the Brain Gym for 30 minutes each day.
With the help of Cassville R-IV teachers and maintenance staff, the Brain Gym was created this summer to provide a space where our youngest wildcats can enhance learning through movement by building both gross and fine motor skills and improving their left/right formation.
The Brain Gym is made up of several stations including: balance beam, monkey bars, mini-trampoline and a jumping tower.
The gym is located within a classroom space at Cassville Primary.

On September 19th, 2017, 26 schools from Region 11 Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) attended the FCCLA Region 11 Fall Leadership Workshop at Carthage Nazarene.
This annual leadership workshop’s purpose is to inform student leaders how to become more active in their chapter, as well as their community. The workshop was broken into two main parts: leadership sessions led by Region 11 Officers and breakout sessions led by community leaders and organizations. Members were able to choose two different leadership sessions from fourteen options, and two different workout sessions from thirteen options.
The Region 11 Fall Leadership Workshop was a great success. A total of 247 student leaders and 31 advisers were able to take home great ideas for their school and community. Pictured are Cassville FCCLA members from the middle school and high school who attended.

With public safety at the forefront of this project, Cassville Schools and goBEC Fiber Network have installed 60 inch televisions with goBEC cable services in both FEMA shelters on the campus of Cassville R-IV School District.
In an effort to keep the community and/or staff and students aware during severe storms, the TV carts will be brought out into the general seating area of the shelter if the shelter has been opened due to a storm. goBEC has provided the cable service at no cost to the district.
goBEC is a subsidiary of Barry Electric Cooperative that provides both commercial and residential fiber optic internet technology to Barry County.
