CoxHealth Virtual Clinic Update
The three-year grant provided by Missouri Foundation for Health that began our CoxHealth Virtual Clinic has come to an end. This pilot program has been successful providing many of our students and staff an option to be seen by a medical professional at no cost, regardless of whether they had health insurance or not.
We are excited to announce that we will continue to offer the CoxHealth Virtual School Clinic as a convenient, affordable option for healthcare.
“The Cox Health virtual clinic has been a wonderful asset to the Cassville school district,” stated Bobbi Blakenship, Cassville Schools Health Service Coordinator. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with Cox Health.”
Starting this school year, your on-site school clinic will now pursue reimbursement for visits by billing your insurance. Students and staff can expect to pay your normal office co-pay for a visit. The co-pay amount will be determined by the type of insurance the patient has and each insurance plan is different.
For specific information on what your plan covers, call the number on the back of your insurance card.
As a reminder, the Virtual Clinic can treat illnesses such as sore throats, earaches, pink eye, strep, chronic coughs, rashes and the flu. Permission slip must be on file at school in order for students to take advantage of this service.
