Congressman Long Visits Cassville Intermediate

CASSVILLE, MO – Congressman Billy Long (MO-07) and Dr. Richard Asbill, the superintendent of Cassville R-IV School District, released the following statement after today’s ribbon cutting for the newly renovated classrooms at the Cassville Intermediate School:

“A few years ago, during a meeting with the southwest Missouri school administrators, I made a point to say, just like I do with all constituents, to call me if they ever need my help,” said Rep. Long. “A few months later, Dr. Asbill took me up on that offer and called me asking for help to secure funding for flood damage repairs for the Cassville Intermediate School. My office and I got to work immediately and contacted FEMA. After months of hard work, FEMA finally approved the funding. I’m happy to do what I can to help my constituents on a federal level. This kind of work is why I ran for office.”
