Ray Wins MO Peace Officer's Essay Contest

Cassville Middle School student Elizabeth Ray received first place in the Missouri Peace Officer's Association 8th Grade Essay Contest - MO West Division.

Ray's essay was titled, "Social Media: Bringing Us Together or Tearing Us Apart."

During the CMS Awards Assembly, Trooper Terry Bible presented Ray with her winnings. She will receive $300.00 and her essay will be published in Law Enforcement magazine.

Because of Ray's winnings, CMS was presented with a $100 donation and CMS Communications Arts teacher, Leslie McCullough, was also given $100.

Elizabeth is the daughter of Barbie Ray and Curtis Ray from Cassville.
