CHS Recognizes Students for Academic Excellence
For the first time at Cassville High School, graduates who have achieved academic excellence are being recognized by using the "cum laude" system.
Students who completed a minimum of seven successful semesters of high school, earned 25 credits, and earned a 3.50 or above gpa are awarded the bronze Cum Laude medal.

The Valedictorian and Salutatorian are recognized based on the Summa Cum Laude requirements. The salutatorian is the student who ranks second highest in academic achievements of the class. The Cassville High School Class of 2017 has two students tied for Salutatorian. They are Olivia Padilla with a gpa of 4.0707 and Yesenia Rivera, with a gpa of 4.0707.
The valedictorian is the student who ranks highest in academic achievements of the class. The Cassville High School Class of 2017 Valedictorian is Chelsey Small, with a gpa of 4.0766.
