Note for CMS & CHS Families Regarding Social Media Challenge
Dear CMS and CHS Families,
We want to make you aware of a concerning social media challenge that has become popular in school districts across the nation. Unfortunately, Cassville R-IV is not immune to this viral trend that results in vandalism and theft.
The social media challenge encourages students to vandalize and steal items from their school facilities. This disrespectful behavior is being glamorized resulting in students filming themselves while vandalizing school facilities or with the stolen item(s) and posting them to various social media sites.
Theft and vandalism have school consequences that may include suspensions, financial restitution, loss of privileges and legal ramifications resulting in law enforcement involvement. We have a beautiful campus and many hard-working staff members who take pride in keeping it well maintained.
We are doing our best to identify the students who are committing these acts, but we need your help. Please speak with your child about this matter so they are aware that actions like these are unacceptable.
Respectfully,
Mr. Darren Rhea Mr. Tyler Willis
