Wednesday, February 1: AMI Day #1 (DETAILS HERE)
Wildcat families:
School will not be in session on Wednesday, February 1 due to inclement weather. This will be Snow Day #5 for the 2022-23 school year.
While we love a traditional snow day, in an effort to avoid impacting the end of our school calendar, Wednesday, February 1 will be an AMI day. All students (PK-12), will be provided with Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) assignment/s to complete at home and return to their classroom teacher/s. AMI days are counted as academic days on our school calendar. Wednesday, February 1 will be AMI Day #1 for our district.
Students will not be introduced to new material during an AMI day. Assignments will enhance previously learned material from home.
Families of PK-5th grade students will receive AMI information using the communication platform your classroom teacher has used throughout this school year, such as SeeSaw or Remind.
Sixth-twelfth grade students will find their assignments on Canvas. If your 6-12 child did not bring their school issued device home and attempts to access Canvas through a new or different device, the log-in page is found here.
Our goal is for students, teachers and families to have a positive experience during AMI days. If your child is having difficulty completing their assignment/s, arrangements and accommodations will be made when they return to in-person instruction.
We hope to see you all back on campus soon!
Sincerely,
Dr. Merlyn Johnson
Cassville R-IV Superintendent
