The Cassville Community Foundation has provided 2, $1,000 grants to two programs within the Cassville R-IV School District. Both the CHS Success Program and the CHS Art Program have received Community Foundation grants.
The CHS Success Program is an intervention program that offers a nontraditional setting designed to serve students who are not succeeding in the traditional classroom.
Funds provided by the foundation will be used to purchase supplies for the Student Incentive Store. The store is stocked with rewards for students who meet weekly attendance, academic, behavior and personal goals.
The second grant was awarded to the CHS Art Program and will be used to purchase UV/graffiti sealant for the two murals in town that were created by art students. One mural is located at Sunshine Coffee House and the second is located at the SWMO Restore Shop. The sealant will protect the students artwork and will allow the business owners to clean the mural without damaging it.
