Local Businesses Stuff the Bus for Cassville Kids
Pictured, Alicia Jackson and Whitney Craig, both with First State Bank, Cassville, present a check to Cassville R-IV Directors of Learning Traci Mitchell and Eric White. White and Mitchell are accepting the $1,000 donation on behalf of Cassville R-IV Bright Futures Program.
The funds donated to the district are a combined fundraising effort from the Stuff the Bus event cohosted by First State Bank of Purdy, Cox Monett Hospital, 3D Corporate Solutions, International Dehydrated Foods, EFCO Corporation, and Jack Henry & Associates.
Each year these businesses host week-long events, collect supplies and fill school buses for children in need. The event went virtual this year to accommodate safety precautions for COVID-19, and all the funds collected were donated to local area schools.
"We are all proud supporters of our local communities and are even more excited to continue support with the unique challenges facing our schools and students," stated Amanda Lee, Chief Operations Officer at First State Bank.
Bright Futures, established at Cassville Schools in 2011, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to bringing community members together to focus on the success of children.
