Cox Virtual Visits Provided at No Cost to Cassville Students and Staff
In collaboration with CoxHealth Virtual Clinic, Cassvile R-IV School District will offer virtual clinic visits to district staff, dependents (spouse and children) and students at no cost for the 2020-21 school year.
Common acute illnesses, such as earaches, pink eye, rashes and influenza, to name a few, may be treated via telemedicine without employees or children having to leave campus.
“We appreciate our Board of Education seeing the value of this partnership with CoxHealth Virtual Clinic,” said Dr. Richard Asbill, Cassville R-IV School District Superintendent. “We believe that by providing the virtual visits at no cost to our students and staff we can promote wellness within our Wildcat Family by having access to healthcare when needed.”
During the visit, patient will meet with a licensed physician or nurse practitioner using state-of-the-art video conferencing equipment at school. Parents/guardians will be able to participate in the visit by phone/video using a smartphone without having to leave work or home.
Patients may request a virtual visit by calling their school nurse. Parents must have a permission slip on file for their student to be treated.
Please contact the district’s health service department at 417.846.1287 for more information.
