SADD Organization Receives $1,000 from Safe and Sober
During the Spring of 2022, Cassville High School SADD members organized and participated in a docudrama followed by a school-wide assembly educating students about the dangers of impaired and distracted driving. The docudrama simulated a serious car accident. At the conclusion of the assembly, SADD members asked their fellow students to consider making a pledge to stay safe and sober.
73% of CHS students made the pledge. Because of the large percentage of students that made the pledge, the CHS SADD program received a $1,000 financial contribution from Safe and Sober. Safe and Sober is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that develops and distributes educational content designed to prevent substance misuse.
The CHS club plans to use the money on events and activities for the student body designed to help students make smart and safe decisions.
