CHS Senior Kalia Miller Earns Premier Distinction
The National Speech and Debate Association has announced that Cassville High School Senior, Kalia Miller, has earned Premier Distinction recognition. Premier Distinction is the highest honor in the National Speech and Debate Association Honor Society (NSDA). Fewer than 3% of NSDA members earn Premier Distinction prior to graduation.
The NSDA is one of the oldest and most respected honor societies. They recognize middle school and high school students and coaches for participation in speech and debate activities. Students earn merit points for competition, service and leadership activities.
Miller has been a member of the CHS Speech and Debate team all four years of her high school career. She competes in Policy Debate, Program of Oral Interpretation, Poetry, Radio, Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking, Student Congress, Big Questions Debate and One-Act. She is also a member of the CHS Knowledge Bowl Team and serves as Vice President of the CHS National Honor Society.
Miller will graduate in May and plans to attend college to study political science and legal studies. She is the daughter of Amy Colf of Eagle Rock and Gerry Miller of Cassville.
