CHS FFA State Results
The Cassville FFA chapter had 8 Career Development Event (CDE) and Leadership Development Event (LDE) teams compete at the Missouri FFA State Convention in Columbia on April 19- 21.
While at the convention, CHS seniors Carter Lee, Maci Barton and Kayla Cheek were recognized for earning their State Degrees.
Peter Littlefield earned the Missouri State Fair scholarship and was recognized as well.
The Poultry team made up of Littlefield, Tierany Sloan, and Jaret Hinson, placed second.
The Entomology team which included Andrew Gray, CJ Rose, Nic Sanders, and Barton, placed seventh.
The Forestry team included Logan Wingo, Hunter Morse, Paige Shirkey and Madelyn Richter placed ninth.
The Dairy Cattle team finished in 11th place. The team consisted of Hanna Blankenship, Joei Blankenship, Rebekah Fry and Mallery Cornell.
The Livestock team was Joseph Reuter, Colton Blankenship and Alyssa Wisenhut. They finished in 12th place.
The FFA Knowledge team earned 17th place. Team members included Tera Tippings, Kaitlyn Tiner, Carlee Mitchell and Abigail Gibbons.
The Floriculture team included Zoie Coupland, Mackenzie Watkins, Gracee Cornell and Cheek finished in 30th.
The Conduct of Chapter Meetings team was Nevaeh Johnson, Kierstan Fare, Tyra Sturgell, Riley Stumpff, Julie Gregory, Gunner Knight and Will Brooks competed at state as well. In addition, Sloan, a Division II Speaker, competed at the State Level.
Two Cassville FFA members, Nevaeh Johnson and Langston Mitchell, had the opportunity to be delegates and vote on incoming state officers and FFA dues. Four middle school officers, Grant Varner, Roper Taylor, Bri Still and Gracie Maher, had the opportunity to attend the State Convention with the high school members and serve as Courtesy Corps, alongside Hanna Blankenship, Mitchell, Johnson, Fry, and Cornell.
Courtesy Corps is a way for students to earn state leadership points and help keep everything running smoothly at the convention.
