Harris Wins JAG Essay Contest, Travels to Jeff City
Students enrolled in the Jobs for American Graduates Program (JAG) at Cassville High were asked to complete an essay answering the following question: "What has made Missouri great over the past 200 years?"
Cassville JAG member and CHS senior, Kelsey Harris, was selected as the local essay winner. Essay winners across the state were invited to an event on November 9 in Jefferson City. They were honored by Governor Mike Parson and First Lady Teresa Parson during a reception at the Capitol Rotunda.
JAG compiled all winning essays and created a book for the winners as a keepsake.
Harris is the daughter of Casey and Lance Parsons.
