Burgess Wins Local Spelling Bee & Will Compete in Joplin

On Thursday, February 10, fourth and fifth grade classroom spelling bee winners competed in the Intermediate School Spelling Bee.
Fourth grade student, Liliana Burgess finished first place and will travel to Joplin on March 18 to compete in the Joplin Globe Spelling Bee.
Jonah Cupps placed second in the spelling bee and will serve as alternate.
Liliana is the daughter of Abby Munoz and Broghan Burgess.
Jonah is the son of Ashley and Jay Cupps.
